Find answers to common questions about AutoApply.
AutoApply automates your job search by analyzing job postings, tailoring your resume and cover letter to each position, and submitting applications on your behalf. Simply paste a job URL, and we handle the rest—from parsing requirements to filling out forms and tracking responses.
We currently support jobs from Greenhouse, Lever, and Ashby applicant tracking systems. These cover thousands of companies including most tech startups and many larger enterprises. We're continuously adding support for more platforms.
Create an account, complete the onboarding process by uploading your resume and filling out your profile, then paste your first job URL. AutoApply will analyze the job, score your fit, tailor your application, and either submit it automatically or queue it for your review—depending on your automation settings.
In Supervised mode, applications are prepared and queued for your review before submission. You can edit, approve, or reject each one. In Autopilot mode, applications that meet your fit score threshold are submitted automatically without requiring your approval. You can switch between modes at any time.
The fit score (0-100%) indicates how well your profile matches a job's requirements. We analyze factors like skills match, experience level, location preferences, and job type. Higher scores mean better alignment. You can set a minimum fit threshold for autopilot submissions.

If an application fails (e.g., the form changed or there's a technical issue), it's marked as "Failed" and you'll be notified. You can retry the submission or submit it manually. Failed applications don't count against any usage limits.
Connect your Gmail account to automatically detect recruiter responses. We use AI to classify emails as interview invites, rejections, information requests, or acknowledgments. Your application status updates automatically based on these classifications.
